Being a Teen at the Redeemer

This is an opportunity for us to examine, with our minds and our hearts, the significance of the faith into which we have been baptized.  It is a time set aside to decide for ourselves what the claims of The Bible and the Church have to do with our lives.  There are many questions to consider before taking the step to confess faith in Jesus Christ and a willingness to follow him as Savior and Lord. Confirmation Class attempts to provide both the information and the setting necessary to engage these questions. Teens in the 8th grade or over are welcome to participate.

Youth Group:

We offer a chance for high schoolers to gather and to worship together, talk about the Bible, and eat together. It is our primary desire to cultivate a community of high schoolers willing and able to wrestle with the tough questions of faith in an environment that welcomes, affirms, and accepts all people. In addition to these important goals we also want youth group to be a place where teens can relax, be themselves, and have fun.

Youth Group for the 2016-2017 school year will meet on the following Sundays from 5pm-7pm.

Youth Assistants:

Youth Assistants are Confirmed high schoolers who serve in our Sunday School ministry, primarily in our Godly Play program (for which they are expected to receive formal training). This provides them with an invaluable service and leadership opportunity in the life of our parish. Youth Assistants are also expected to participate in other areas of the life of the parish for their own spiritual formation, so that their ministry to children is fed and informed by an active life of faith.

Those interested in becoming a youth assistant should contact Director of Children, Youth and Family Ministries Bobby Outterson-Murphy at 857-576-6084 or
