Alex Ewing and his wife Jen have been members of the Church of the Redeemer since they moved to Chestnut Hill in 2014. Prior to joining the Redeemer, Alex and Jen lived in Beacon Hill for seven years and were members of Park Street Church. Since joining the Redeemer, Alex has taught Sunday school, served as the Chairman of the Nominating Committee and a member of the Organ Committee. Currently, he is working with Rev. Mike Dangelo to lead the youth program for 5-7 graders. Also, he has been active in church fellowship activities and has helped start a home-brewing fellowship, the Bleak Midwinter Brewers.
Alex was raised in a Methodist church in a small town in Oklahoma. He is a graduate of Harvard College ('03) and Harvard Law School ('06), where he met his wife, Jen, on the first day of law school orientation. Alex is the Head of Global IP Strategy and General Counsel at LiquiGlide, an MIT spin-out material science start-up company in Cambridge. Jen is a partner at the Boston-based law firm, Ropes & Gray. They have two children, Eloise (4) and Jack (2).
