Posted Pianos!

We have posted our old pianos on Craigslist in preparation for the arrival of our new piano, whose funds were raised in honor of recently retired Senior Warden Suzy Westcott.

 

If you are interested in either piano, please contact the office. We'd love to sell them to parishioners! All prices DO NOT include delivery.  Delivery may be negotiable with Elton.

Knabe small (5’ 8”) grand piano, built 1939.  Great for family with children learning to play.  Adjustable matching leather bench included.  $2,500.

Vertical (49 ˝” high) 1911 Steinway ebony “Vertigrand.”  $1,500.

         

 

Piano Part #3

 

Humes and Berg/ Faultless Nutting adjustable piano truck suitable for up to “L” sized grand piano. $250.

Redeemer Mini Walk for Hunger Canned Food Drive

Your support of the children participating in the Redeemer Mini Walk for Hunger is greatly appreciated!  Your donations of non-perishable foodstuff and other grocery items will be delivered by members of the Outreach Committee to the Newton Food Pantry and the Brookline Emergency Food Pantry. Please bring in your food drive donations on Sunday May 3rd and leave them on the church school counter area. Thank you!  We called the food pantries to get a list of suggested non-perishable food items.  The list of suggested items is as follows:

Donations Needed!

 We need donations of:

 

  • Large plastic containers to mix paint (ex. used quart-sized yogurt containers)
  • Paint brushes of various sizes
  • Garden tools for pruning and other agricultural work

 

 Item donations can be dropped off in the box by the Back Classroom.  Monetary donations can be made to Church of the Redeemer, earmarked “Paint and Plant Uganda” and given to the office.

The Youth Bible Study is for students in the 6th grade and up, and meets Sunday morning in the Back Classroom at 9:40 am. In May, we will continue our study of the first Gospel.  The Bible Study group is also continuing its work of writing prayers and will make an offering for Youth Sunday on May 17th.  The Bible Study will meet in May on the 3rd, 10th, and 31st. Please have your youth join us for fun and learning.

 

May 3rd – Mark 9: The Transfiguration

May 10th – Mark 10: Divorce and the Rich Young Man

May 31st – Mark 11: The Triumphal Entry, The Cleansing of the Temple

 

Confirmation

Pre-Confirmation Class

       The Pre-Confirmation Class will meet at the Auchincloss’ house from 6:00 to 7:15 pm on April 28th.  The meetings will include dinner. The final meeting time this school year will be on May 5th.  If your child is interested in Confirmation in the next two years, please speak with the Curate Marc Eames or Ella Auchincloss about signing up for the class.
