Stewardship season is coming and a couple of months from now we need the assistance of 50 or more members of the Church to be “shepherds” to help us in our 2010 campaign.

Our theme this year is “Plant A Seed”, reflecting 2 Corinthians 9:10, which shows our role in planting seeds, tending them well, and trusting in God for the increase.

We need a diverse team of parishioners to reach out to every member of the church to answer questions and encourage pledges to be made in a timely manner.  Each shepherd will be asked to call half a dozen parishioners and follow up in October and early November. Training will be provided.

Our hope is that the Redeemer’s Stewardship process will reflect our “care of souls” as well as raise the funds to meet our budget.

If you are willing to reach out to old friends, and meet some new ones, and strengthen the community, contact Laine at office@redeemerchestnuthill.org,  (617-566-7679), or one of us.

Blessings in Christ,

Diocesan-wide Days of Service

Friday, Sept. 11th & Saturday 12th

Sponsored by the diocese's two young adult intern programs--the Micah Project and the Relational Evangelism Pilot Project--along with diocesan leaders and staff.

Here's how to get involved:

×Commit to serving on either Sept. 11 or 12.  Projects are still being determined, but    three large sites, each led by a bishop, and several smaller ones throughout the diocese are expected.

×Gather a group of 10 or more people from your school, parish, deanery or community to work together at one of the sites.

×Donate money or supplies (paint, brushes, trash bags, gloves, water, snacks, etc.).

Anyone interested in participating may contact Natalie Finstad at natalie@diomassintern.org.
